Berry Pomeroy, a parish in the Southern Division, hundred of Haytor, is only 1.38 miles northeast of Totnes in the Hundred of Coleridge, also Southern Division... The Duke of Somerset was patron in 1781.

No Berry Pomeroy Combs are on the Devonshire Lay Subsidy Rolls; however, one Alexander de CUMBE (12d) was listed for the parishes of Torbryan and Denbury, both only 2-3 miles north of Berry Pomeroy.
