Notes: Although we have not identified the husband of Ann
PENN Combs, it may be of interest that (1) we have several Phillip
Combs in Westmoreland & Old Rappahannock Co VA
& St. Mary's Co MD in the 1600s, the latter overseer at one
time to Thomas (& Susannah SNOW) Gerrard of St. Mary's Co MD
& Westmoreland Co VA; (2) that in
ffyfehed (Fivehead, Fifehead), Somersetshire, EN in 1579,
the will of an Edward PEN mentions a Jaone COMB; and (3) a COMBS-HICKS
will in Berkshire in 1620.
