• Establish the genetic profile for this branch of COMBS
• Determine John L. COMBS parentage based on comparison of genetic profiles.
• See if there are any male descendants of John L. COMBS presumed brother Benjamin COMBS other unknown branches who may be able to provide a genetic profile for pursuing this lineage further.
• Note: Well documented. No hint of John L. Combs' parentage or what the "L" stands for. He appears out of thin air in Barren Co, KY in 1817 on the tax list. Since the Reads lived in Stafford, were members of the Chopawansic Baptist Church, and lived near the John and Sarah Luttrell Combs family, I have wondered if John L. Combs was not a son of their son Nimrod Combs, who apparently had some children but are not documented, or the son of their bastard son John. John's status as a fugitive could be pursued further in KY Court records.
