Saint Alban Wood Street,
(1.24 mi. north of city centre), London
St Alban Wood Street (1.24 mi. north of city centre) was destroyed by the Great Fire of 1666; rebuilt, destroyed again in 1940. Many records are missing, presumed destroyed in World War II. In 1954, St. Alban Wood St was united to St Vedast Foster Lane. Parish records are in the Guildhall Library: baptisms, 1662-1786; marriages, 1662-1811; burials, 1662-1786. Registers to 1662 are not extant. Registers for baptisms from 1786, marriages 1811-1902 and burials 1786-1849 were destroyed in 1940.
