St Mary Abchurch was rebuilt following the Great Fire. St Lawrence Pountney was untied to St Mary Abchurch in 1670.* Parish records are in the Guild Library: baptisms, 1558-1812; marriages, 1558-1837; banns 1757-62 and 1804-1911; and burials, 1558-1851. Later baptismal and marriage registers are retained by the incumbent. Some marriages, banns, baptisms and burials are with St Lawrence Pountney. A partial index to baptisms and marriages for the years 1558-1837 is in the IGI. Only one Combs IGI record has been located for St. Mary Abchurch:20 Aug 1749 Saint Mary Abchurch, London. Christened: Robert COMBES, s/o Robt. COMBES (IGI #Ba: C045891, So: 374483, Pr: 0883834, source not yet viewed)*St Lawrence Pountney was destroyed in 1666 and not rebuilt (the church grounds and churchyard remain). Parish records are in the Guildhall Library: baptisms, 1538-1812; marriages, 1538-1837; banns, 1654-9 and 1757-62; and burials, 1538-1812. Later registers have been retained by the incumbent. A partial index to baptisms and marriages for the years 1538-1812 is in the IGI. No Combs have been located in St. Lawrence Pountney as yet.
