St Michael Cornhill &St Peter Le Poer, St Benet Fink
(north and northeast of city centre), London
St Michael Cornhill (.087 northeast of city centre) was rebuilt in 1669-1672. St Benet Fink and St Peter Le Poer were united to St. Michael Cornhill in 1906. The latter's parish records are in the Guildhall Library: baptisms 1546-1986, marriages 1546-1836, banns 1653-59/60 & 1754-87 & 1853-1931, burials 1546-1853. Baptisms from 1906 are with St Peter le Poer and St Benet Fink. Later marriages register is held by the incumbent. A partial index to baptisms and marriages 1545-1836 is in the IGI.ca 1405 6 HENRY IV. Chancery: Inquisitions Ad Quod Damnum, Henry III to Richard III. C 143/436/6. John COUMBE the elder of London to found a chantry at the altar of St. Katherine in the church of St. Michael-le-Quern, and to endow it with shops in the said parish of St. Michael, retaining land in the parishes of St. Michael Cornhill, St. Mary Woolnoth (Combs &c.
