Notes: Simeon F. Combs and & Lavina COFFEY (daughter of Joel COFFEY) married 22 Jul 1823, Adair Co., KY. By 1830 they were in Pike Co., IL, but by 1838 had removed to Russell Co., KY. By 1849, they were in Crittendon Co., KY, and by 1858, they were in McGhee Co., KS where Simeon died 21 Dec 1859, age 59, born in VA [sic]. No KY land grants have been found as yet for Simeon F. Combs. According to the 30 Sep 1825 court case of Mary Wilks vs Samuel Coombs in Hardin Co., KY, naming Simeon as a son of Jesse Coombs.

Note: Joseph COOM has not been identified as yet (not researched). Although possibly meaningless, the STACYS of Surry Co., NC, who were also associated with Salathiel MARTIN of that county, and later with the HICKS families, including Thomas Hicks Combs, h/o Keziah HAYS, both of Wilkes Co., NC. Simon STACY (son of Benjamin & Ann Combs Stacy), married 07 Oct 1792 in Wilkes Co NC, Elizabeth HULME, was in Pulaski Co., KY by 1803. According to their son, Judge Perry M. STACY'S Goodspeeds Interview, he was born Feb 1814 in Russell [sic] Co., KY
