"MUDD, Benjamin S. - born in Maryland (Josuah & Anne SMITH) died on his plantation in Opelousas on 4 August 1820 at age 37 years; buried 5 Aug 1820 in the St. Charles church graveyard. Fr. Hercule Brassac (GC Ch: v.1, p3, #23)."
