Page 88. 2. Re the John COMBS listed (selected):
"1. John, sire of the "eight brothers," See Combs Research Report for John and Nancy HARDING Combs, Sr.
"2. John, Jr., one of the "eight" and 6. John, to Lincoln (Boyle) Co., to Perry Co., then to Boyle," these are one and the same. See the Combs &c. Research Report for RW John "8" COMBS as well as the same for John COMBS III.
"3. John, to Madison Co., Arkansas," this is the "John Combs-Couch" termed a son of Biram COMBS, Jr., who was b ca 1834, KY, not ca 1811, TN, and was in the 1850 Perry Co, KY census Household of Polly COMBS Combs, widow of Elijah COMBS, and in 1860, she was in his 1860 Madison Co, AR Census Household. See also pp. 92-93 and the accompanying footnotes.
"4. John Lorenzo, son of Jeremiah ("Long Jerry")," note that John Lorenzo COMBS (d Aug 1859, Perry Co, KY) is not named as a son of Jeremiah "Long Jerry" in the General Table, but is consistently referred to as such elsewhere throughout the manuscript.

Page 89. 3. Re the Nicholas COMBS Listed (selected):
"1. Nicholas ("Danger Nick"), uncle of the "eight brothers," was actually the same as "5. Nicholas, one of the "eight," details scarce," one of the eight, not an uncle (which is why details were scarce).
"6. Nicholas, Jr., son of Nicholas (5), Owsley Co," has not been identified since Nicholas 5 was actually Nicholas 1 and was not of Owsley, but of Perry.
"7. Nicholas, son of Samuel, one of the "eight". Died in Clay Co. [KY]," refers apparently to Nicholas, s/o Samuel and Nancy CORNETT Combs of Breathitt and Owsley Cos, KY. See Page 51 which states that Nicholas moved to Clay and died while digging a well, and Page 135 of the General Table, which states that their son, Nicholas married "a BOLEN." See 1850 Breathitt Co, KY Census, 1853 Owsley Co, KY Vital Stats (documentation of marriage of Nicholas COMBS & Mary BOWLING), and Pulaski, Laurel, Rockcastle and Jackson Cos, KY. Seeking source for Nicholas as s/o Samuel & Nancy, and for year of his death.

Page 89. 4. Re the Jeremiah's listed (selected):
7. Jeremiah, in Perry in 1850 (District 1,007-007) at age of 62, with wife, Elizabeth, and five children, was the same as 10. Jeremiah C. "Curly" COMBS, h/o Elizabeth, d/o Mason "8" COMBS.
8. "Jeremiah, b. in Tenn., moved to Madison County, Ark., and aged 74 in [Madison Co, AR] Census of 1860..." was not the s/o William (b 1740), but Jeremiah COMBS, s/o of Mason & Dorothy COMBS of Hawkins Co, TN (possibly a brother to William, b 1740, and s/o Mason COMBS, Sr.)
11. Jeremiah ("Beet-Nose Jerry"); 13. Jeremiah ("Loose Jerry"); 14. Jeremiah ("Rebel Jerry"); 15. Jeremiah ("Young Jerry"); 16. Jeremiah ("Yankee Jerry"); 17. Jeremiah (''Slow Jerry"); and 18. Jeremiah ("Round Jerry") are mentioned twice in this manuscript, but never otherwise identified.
12. Jeremiah ("Free Jerry"), son of Jack" may have been the s/o Jackson and Mary YOUNG Combs (s/o Jeremiah L. COMBS, Jr.)?
