St. Gregory by St. Paul
(1.24 mi. north of city centre), London
St Gregory By St Paul (1.24 mi. north of City Centre) was rebuilt 1641-1650, and in 1666. It was united to St Mary Magdalene Old Fish Street in 1670, and to St Martin Ludgate in 1890. St Gregory is in the jurisdiction of the Dean and Chapter of St. Paul's (probates and administrations). Parish records are in the Guildhall Library: baptisms 1559-1882, marriages 1559-1640, 1650/1-1867, banns 1653-62, 1754-78, burials 1559-1853. For later baptisms, marriages and banns, and for marriage licenses 1687-1834, see St Mary Magdalen Old Fish Street. A partial index to baptisms and marriages 1559-1821 is in the IGI.
Note: This parish was apparently transcribed and entered in the IGI post-1998 and all marriage records may not have been collected yet. The two christenings herein (from, apparently, a pre-1998 transcription... not yet checked) are the only found.18 Feb 1612 St. Gregory by St. Paul, London.
