Sandford on Thames, hundred of Bullington, 3.34 miles southeast of the City of Oxford, 1/2 mile from Littlemore (home of Margaret STAMPE Hester, d/o John and Dorothy ARCHDALE Stamp (named in 1629 will of William COMBE and 1631 will of Abraham ARCHDALE of Wheatley (1631)), and 4.52 mi. southwest of Wheatley, Cuddesdon, Oxfordshire.

The 1631 Wheatley, Cuddesdon, Oxfordshire will of Abraham ARCHDALE (s/o Richard and Mary FERNE Archdale) named Mr. Thomas WHICKER who was, at the time, residing in his messuage in Whatley (Wheatley). Not known if this is the same.
