Notes: It is possible that this is the family of Aquilla COMBS (s/o RW Gilbert & Christianna DENTON Combs), b 6 Mar 1791, Shenandoah Co, VA; m 23 Dec 1813, Botetourt Co, VA; Elizabeth RIDDLE. Aquilla is found in 1830 in Hardeman Co, TN, but missing in TN after that record. (Note there are Aquilla Combs IL BLM records in the 1830s to 1840, not pulled yet to determine the county).
Addl Notes: Andrew Burrell Combs, Acquilla Combs, Deborah Combs and her husband Andrew McILVAIN, and Catherine Combs and her husband Cortez PYLE all migrate to Gentry and Worth Cos, MO. It appears that the Acquilla Combs and the Burrell Combs in the below 1850 census record of widow Elizabeth Combs are the same as found in 1860 in Missouri. The fact that both Deborah and Catherine are also found with them suggests they could have been siblings and also the children of Acquilla Combs Sr. and Elizabeth RIDDLE. It is also possible that the John Combs who married Sophronia CAMBELL in 1865 is the same found in 1870 in Worth Co, MO.
