Not yet located in 1860 but found with his parents in the 1850 Lawrence Co, IN census. His DC states he was born 29 Aug 1839, was widowed and wife's name was Catherine. L B Combs married Susanna C DOWNEY 12 July 1866 in Coles Co, IL (BkE:45 per Illinois Marriage database). Next, as apparent widower, found in 1880 Nodaway Co, MO. Later his younger brother Thomas Combs of Nodaway Co. marries an Alice DOWNEY per the 1885 birth of their child.
