and Nancy BEGLEY Combs listed on the 1860 Perry
Co KY Census AND the same Mary COMBS age 12 listed in the 1870 Owsley Co HH of Jackson and S. Catherine RASNER Combs. Robert EVERSOLE is also listed in this 1870 HH. Jackson was the son of Jackson G. & Martha "Patsy" CRANK? Combs.Jackson G. & Patsy had another son, Elijah, who is about the same age as Elijah who married Nancy BEGLEY.
Was he their son? Mary J. was married 1st to Robert EVERSOLE and listed as a widow in 1880 Owsley Co KY with two children. She later married Robert S. WILSON.

Meredith COMBS married Susan WOODS and her sister Sarah is reportedly the 1st wife of Meredith's brother, Samuel COMBS. Samuel later married in 1909 Kizzie BISHOP.

Wiley Combs Passes Away Youngest Son of Mrs. America Combs Victim of Tuberclosis-- Funeral Friday.
Wiley Combs, youngest son of Mrs. America Combs, died at his home in Jackson Thursday morning between four and five o'clock from tuberculosis. He was about twenty-six years of age. The body will be buried today in the Combs graveyard in this town. Some years ago his sister, Miss Nettie,one of the lovliest girls, was taken, followed a few years later by her brother, Hacker, and of the widowed there now remain only the widowed mother and one sone, Willie, a assenger conductor in the L. & N. service from here to McRoberts. They are fine people and have the sympathy of the entire town and county.

Owsley Co. researchers have Granville as the son of John and Elizabeth HUNT Williams COMBS. Source is needed to prove relationship. Cinda's first name was actually Lucinda. James "Big Jim" BAKER was the son of John H. BAKER and Lucinda AMIS and his wife was Charlotte "Lottie" BOWLING, the daughter of William BOWLING and Deborah DUFF.
