SE Notes: Appears first wife Melvina died and Andrew remarried. In the 1900 Oklahoma Co., OK census (not yet abstracted), they state they had been married 46 years (m. c1854) and had 12 children, 5 of whom were still living. Andrew B. aka Andrew Burrell Combs, apparent son of Acquilla Combs and Elizabeth RIDDLE of Hardeman Co, TN and Perry Co, IL. This couple lived in Gentry Co, MO (1860), Jackson Co, MO (1870), and Carroll Co, AR (1880) before finally settling in Oklahoma. Andrew B. Combs was a pensioned CW Soldier.

On his father last name they did not add the "e" but on other documents that he signed Taylor add the "e". Is it possible that I am related to some Combes that do not use the "e"? My dad was (is) real sticky about adding the "e". The reason I question this is that I have found a John Combs and Lucinda (POUND) Combs Family in Vigo Co, IN who has a son about the right age on the 1850 census. I would like to know who they were and where they went and if this is Taylors' family. J Combes-OK
