Sarah Catherine Combs
25 Nov, 1925
Sarah Catherine Combs, daughter of Joseph and Lucy Combs, was born in Johnson Co., Indiana, Sept. 10, 1855, and passed peacefully away at 5 oclock Wednesday morning, November 18 1925. In this county heer childhood, girlhood and young womanhood were spent. When quite young she united with the Bargersville Christian church, near her home. She had seven half sisters and seven half brothers, all of whom preceded her in death.
September 27, 1875, she was united in marriage to John Eli Musgrave, youngest son of Elizabeth Musgrave, deceased, to whose home in Morgan Co., near Cope, he took his young bride, and on this farm Mrs. Musgrave spent the remainderof her life.
To this union were born four children: Charles M., residing with his mother, Lella Pearl Hale, of Michigan City, In., Rosy Nell Hammans, and Lizzie Alice Hensley, the latter two having died a number o years ago.
Into each life some rain must fall, some days must be dark and dreary, but into Mrs Musgraves life there came a real down-pour for her husband was an invalid for nine years, the latter part of his life, and day and night she ministered to his wants cheerfull, willingly and with a devotion rarely seen.
After the death of her husband, in 1900, heer son Charles Musgrave, and wife, left their home in Johnson county and came to be with his mother.
