Notes: Joseph COMBS of Shelby Co, OH was b ca 1813, Franklin Twp, Fayette Co, PA, the s/o Micajah COMBS, b ca 1793, PA, presumed s/o Joseph COMBS I of Franklin and gs/o Andrew COMBS I of Tonoloways who d 1774, Loudoun Co, VA. Micajah and his son, Joseph, moved from Fayette Co, PA to Montgomery Co, OH between 1820 and 1830, but removed to Randolph Co, IN in 1837-1838. Both were on the 1840 Randolph Census and Micajah was also on the 1850, but Joseph was in Montgomery Co, OH that year. Joseph COMBS, deceased, was Joseph COMBS, Jr., s/o Joseph COMBS I of Franklin, and they removed from Fayette to Wayne Co, OH, and in 1827, Joseph I of Franklin d in Holmes Co, OH (descendant county of Wayne), following which, Joseph COMBS, Jr., b ca 1794, NJ [sic] removed to Auglaize Co, OH where he was deceased by 1853.
